Firefighter Robert Sharkevich Sr

$620 of $5,000 raised

Firefighter Robert “Rob” Sharkevich Sr., also known as “Sharky” made the ultimate sacrifice while battling a devastating wildfire in Berlin, Connecticut on October 22, 2024. The 100 acre wildfire, known as the Hawthorne Fire, has been burning since October 21st and is still not contained. The ATV Rob was operating slid down a steep hill and rolled over, causing him to be ejected and tragically killed. His courage and dedication to protecting our community cost him his life, but his legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Rob is survived by his wife Joanne and four children, including two who are seniors in high school, soon to be enrolled in college. It was Rob’s wish that his sons Camden and Kayden enroll in college after graduation.
