On August 25th, around one in the morning, Matthew McRae and one other passenger were in a serious motor vehicle crash in Salt Lake City, Utah, while on vacation. Matthew was a passenger in a ride-share at the time of the crash. Matthew, another passenger, and the operator of the ride-share were all transported to the hospital with severe injuries. The crash left Matthew in critical condition in the ICU, with several broken bones including a broken neck and spinal injury. The operator who struck the ride-share vehicle was placed into custody on “suspicion of DUI”.
